The Fabulous Hubcaps to Perform at Kean Theatre
Tickets still available
Gibsonia, Pa. - Aug. 23, 2006 - One of the nation's most sought-after and entertaining oldies bands, The Fabulous Hubcaps, will appear in concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16 at the Kean Theatre, 5847 Meridian Road. Tickets are $39 for general admission or $45 for Director's Circle seating. Tickets are available by calling (724) 444-KEAN (5326) or by visiting www.keantheatre.com. Proceeds benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.
The Hubcaps, who sold out last year's concert, consist of seven lead vocalists who are proficient on a number of instruments. The band's self-contained act includes lights, costumes, comedy skits and a high-energy mix of tunes that will take you back to the days of duck tails, white t-shirts, and rock-n-roll. The Hubcaps make audiences come alive performing medleys by artists such as Little Richard, James Brown, The Beach Boys, Bo Diddley, The Marcels, The Drifters, and Elvis. To keep in tune with the band's '50s repertoire, the audience is invited to wear poodle skirts, bobby sox, and rolled-up jeans. With 350 seats, the Kean Theatre's intimate setting guarantees each audience member an intimate view of the performance.
The Hubcaps performance is sponsored by UPMC Health Plan, Oscar sponsor; NexTier Bank and North Pittsburgh Telephone Company are Emmy sponsors; Armstrong and 3WS are Grammy sponsors; and DRS Architects and Pepsi are Golden Globe sponsors of the Kean Theatre.
The Kean Theatre is open to the public and has built a reputation for its convenient location, free parking, quality entertainment and elegant setting. The theatre is operated by St. Barnabas Charities, the fund-raising arm of St. Barnabas Health System. The Health System also includes St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas, The Arbors at St. Barnabas, The Village at St. Barnabas, The Woodlands at St. Barnabas, The Washington Place at St. Barnabas, and St. Barnabas Medical Center. Theatre proceeds benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.
