Trustees Re-elected for St. Barnabas' Kean Theatre

GIBSONIA, Pa. (Richland Twp), Feb. 15, 2007 - Trustees for the Kean Theatre Inc. have been re-elected. The Kean Theatre is a 350-seat, state-of-the-art theatre open to the public and offering top-notch entertainment. During its five seasons of operations, the Kean Theatre has brought numerous concerts and plays to the North Hills. Patrons enjoy an elegant environment, excellent customer service, free parking and a location away from the hassles of downtown. Additionally, the theatre is available for rental to community production companies for song and dance recitals. The theatre is operated by St. Barnabas Charities to raise funds for the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.

Serving as trustees of the Kean Theatre are:

• Richard Kaminsky of Peters Township, Chairman. Since 1988, Kaminsky has been Vice President of Southwest Subway Inc., a franchisee of Subway Restaurants that operates 13 restaurants. He also serves as Chairman of the Pittsburgh market of the Subway Advertising Fund Trust. A former professional musician who performed in nightclubs across the country, Kaminsky was a Vice President and partner with Ken Hill Productions, a theatrical booking agency, from 1977 to 1988. He is a long-time member of the St. Barnabas Charities Community Advisory Committee and a member of the St. Barnabas Pennies for Patients Committee. He holds a bachelor of science degree in music education from Duquesne University.
  
• Nanci L. Case of Wexford, President. In addition to overseeing St. Barnabas Charities and the Kean Theatre, Case is Vice President with St. Barnabas Health System, overseeing the sales, marketing and public relations functions of the health system. A six-year veteran of St. Barnabas, she holds a bachelor of science degree in business and marketing, a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish, and a master's degree in business and strategic planning, all from Colorado State University.
  
• Jerry Johnston of Butler, Secretary. Johnston is the public affairs and advertising manager with North Pittsburgh Telephone Company. Additionally, he is a veteran voice-over announcer with hundreds of local, regional and national credits. He also performs with the Butler Little Theatre and Butler Musical Theatre Guild regularly and has been a singer with the band Vanilla Soul Revue for more than 15 years.
  
• James D. Turco of Hempfield Township, treasurer. Turco is a Vice President with St. Barnabas Health System. An 11-year veteran of St. Barnabas, Turco is responsible for all areas of accounting and finance for St. Barnabas Health System, including budgeting, cost reports, financial statements, and payroll. He also oversees the Purchasing Department and the Personnel Department, which includes managing health insurance benefits and workers' compensation. A certified public accountant and licensed nursing home administrator, Turco earned a degree in business administration from West Virginia University. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
  
• Jud Stewart of Butler. Stewart is Vice President of Marketing and Network Relations for Armstrong, overseeing the company's television, telephone and Zoom Internet services. He holds a degree in marketing from Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio, and is a well-known local actor and director. He is a former chairman of the Butler County Chamber of Commerce and the Butler Little Theatre.
  
• Thomas Madden of Franklin Park. Madden is the Managing Director of the Kean Theatre, responsible for booking all acts and overseeing all operations of the theatre. Additionally at the Kean, he has directed more than 20 staged plays during his five-year tenure. A 25-year veteran of the entertainment business, Madden was previously managing and artistic director for the Holiday House Dinner Theater, Market Square Dinner Theater and the Bobby Nicholas Supper Club. He also was the executive producer of Renaissance Entertainment Productions. Madden studied theater/theatrical production at Carnegie Mellon University and Point Park College. A professional screenwriter, he is represented by Becsey-Wisdom-Kalajian and managed by AEI Entertainment in Los Angeles.
